Our In-Store Complimentary Consultations are a great option for people who are looking at selecting a few furniture pieces to complete their space. This service will take place at our Showroom at 1790 Woodward Drive and includes
30 minutes of one-on-one time with our furniture and design experts. We can discuss furniture options and explore custom pieces at your pace. After the consultation you will receive a follow-up email with the selections sourced.

Full Room Furniture and Decor Package
Our dedicated team of furniture and design experts are ready to lead your project, big or small. Providing knowledge and guidance tailored to your budget and style, we will assist
you in creating inspired spaces. This package includes one room.
We pride ourselves on being transparent from concept to creation. Here are the steps in bringing your space to life. (Each step will be a heading with the text underneath as a Drop down)
1. Tell us about your project
We’re looking forward to working with you, but first, we need some information! Kindly fill out your contact information as well as preliminary details about your project so we can get a good understanding of the scope of work and provide the best service for you. Please provide us with any inspiration you have gathered. Instagram saves, Pinterest boards, and favourite designers: we want a peek into that brilliant mind of yours.
2. Preliminary design consultation
After reviewing the design form you submitted, our team will reach out to schedule a 30-minute consultation, whether it be virtual or in person. together, we will discuss your design style, timeline, and budget. For us to best help you, we suggest bringing photos of your space, floor plans, wish lists as well as inspiration you have gathered.
If you are within the Ottawa area, we can come take proper measurements of your home for an additional fee of $50/hour. However, you can do it yourself by visiting our how to measure guide and meet with us virtually or in-store. Whichever works best for you.
4. Furniture budget proposal
One of our design specialists will send you a customized furniture budget proposal for your space. This proposal will provide you with a good sense of the cost per item that we will be sourcing which considers both the size of your home as well as the approximate cost of the furniture pieces we are selecting.
5. Furniture package
Once you approve the budget proposal, we will send you your complete furniture proposal, which will include mood boards, shopping lists, and two layout options.
6. Revisions (if needed)
You will have the option to approve the selections presented to you in the initial package. However, you are also able to request reselections at this time. One revision is included in your package.
7. Product Purchasing
Once you are satisfied with your design package, you can purchase your pieces. You can purchase your selections directly through our website or directly with one of our furniture & design experts. Either way, your client discount will be applied.
8. Schedule delivery date
Trust our team to be transparent and keep you updated on lead times. Remember, good things take time. Once your furniture is received, we will contact you to coordinate delivery.

The Preliminary Design Consultations is complimentary to help get your project off the ground. The design fee to proceed with the Full Room Furniture and Decor Package is $250 CAD per room, plus $50/hr for any additional work. Each Full Room Furniture and Decor Package will include: Preliminary Budget Proposal: The customized furniture budget proposal will provide you with a good sense of the cost per item that we will be sourcing. The proposal will provide a rough guideline based on our space planning which considers both the size of your home as well as the average cost of the furniture pieces we are selecting. Shopping List: An itemized list of products chosen for your space, including cost and specs. Mood boards: A beautiful presentation of all the products we propose for your home. This is a great asset to help visualize your space. Two Layout Options with One Revision: Two custom layouts will be presented that best suits your space. Based on your feedback and discussion with our design team, you will receive one revision of the given layouts to better tailor the space to your specific needs/ wants.
Discount: You will be granted preferred pricing on your pieces from Dala Decor.
How long will this process take?
The timeline will vary depending on how large your project is. Once we have our preliminary design consultation, we will give you an estimate.
What if I don’t like the selections that were chosen?
The package includes two layout options with one revision of the room. If you require an additional revision, there will be an hourly fee of $50.
What if I just want help selecting a couple of pieces for my home?
You are welcome to visit our showroom and meet with one of our design experts who will help you at no additional cost. See hours here.
What if I only want 1-2 items for an additional room?
Sourcing 1-2 items for an additional room is no extra charge if you have purchased our Full Room Furniture and Decor Package.
Can you come to my home?
Yes, if you are within the Ottawa area, we can visit your home for an additional fee of $50.
What if I live 50 kms outside of Ottawa City limits?
We can discuss this on the initial call to see if it's feasible for both parties, otherwise there is a virtual option.
